Basic rules to follow if a virus is detected:
1. trojans can only be deleted as they do not infect other files and contain only their own code
2. worms in email attachments should be deleted as they contain only the viral code

If you are unsure whether it is safe to delete the particular file without any side effect on your system's functionality, we suggest you tick the Copy to quarantine checkbox before you choose to delete it. Please bear in mind that most viruses copy themselves to system folders such as windows or windows\system32 to confuse the user. Should you have any concerns about deleting the file and were unable to find any description of it neither on our website nor on the web, please send the suspicious file to support@nod32.com for analysis.
Note:
AMON may report an error cleaning or deleting an infected file residing in a temporary folder. This happens when the file has meantime been deleted automatically. If that's the case, please close the alert window and carry out a full system scan with NOD32 scanner to ensure that your computer is virus-free.

Install DreamScene in Vista
Some time ago, we talked about Extras for Vista Ultimate edition. Among these, we noted in particular that allowed DreamScene to display video in MPEG and WMV formats as wallpaper.
Even if some videos were nice, that Stardock has taken the lead by publishing a free software called DeskScapes. With this software you can download animated wallpaper format. Dream. Some are basic like photos that are applied ripple effects for example, and others are in full 3D. The advantage is that these wallpapers take only a few processor resources because they are managed by the graphics card.
Problem: DreamScene is currently available in beta and only for the English versions. However, there is a fairly simple manipulation for those who have the complete edition: Installing English MUI. :
1.Within Windows Update, download the English MUI
2.Se disconnect the session and reconnect for the changes to take effect (no reboot)
3.Relancer Windows Update and look for updates
4.Install DreamScene
Once installed you can DreamScene DeskScapes installed to read the files you want to Dream. Note, however, some of the most successful will inevitably pay.

GPLv2: Microsoft withdrew a tool Windows 7
Microsoft Store, the Redmond company offers the download of Windows 7 USB / DVD Download Tool. This free tool is the solution found by Microsoft so that users of netbooks in particular, can easily install the operating system Windows 7 on a computer without a DVD player.
With a copy of the OS purchased via download, the tool can easily create a bootable USB drive (or DVD) for later installation of the OS through this medium. The tool is however no longer available on Microsoft Store and apparently for violating the GPLv2.

What types of files modified by the System Restore?
Restore system modifies the Windows system files, registry settings and programs installed on your computer. Scripts, batch files and other types of executable files can also be modified on your computer. Personal files such as documents, emails, photos and audio files are not modified.
For example, if you upload a personal file, such as a picture from a digital camera on Friday, and then restore the state of your computer as it was two days ago, the picture will always on your computer.
However, if you install a program for viewing photos on Friday, and then restore the state of your computer as it was two days before, System Restore will uninstall the program, and you can not use to view photos.

System Restore in Windows Vista
System Restore helps you restore system files from your computer to an earlier point in time. This allows you to cancel the changes to the system without affecting your personal files, such as emails, documents or photos.
Sometimes installing a program or driver causes unexpected changes to your computer or unpredictable behavior of Windows. Usually, uninstalling the program or driver corrects the problem. If this is not the case, you can try restoring the system to an earlier date when everything worked properly.
These restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information used by Windows. You can also create restore points manually
System Restore does not back up personal files. Therefore, this feature does not allow you to recover a personal file that was deleted or damaged. To do this, you should regularly back up your personal files and important data using a backup program
To access System Restore, click on the Vista logo (eg Start button on Windows XP), All Programs, Accessories, System Tools.
Vista offers an automatic restore point "Recommended Food". Click Next and begin restoration.
You are free to choose another restore point.
To do this, select "Choose a different restore point".
Vista will display all existing restore points. Know that restore points are created automatically every day with Vista and this just before significant system events, such as installing a program or device driver.
You can also choose to create a restore point manually.
Create a restore poit
For that, click open System Protection.
Choose the drive letter you want to create a restore point and click to finish on the Create button ...
Enter a description to help you identify the restore point and click Create.
Vista then creates the restore point
