ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 beta available for Linux

ESET Announces Release of the Beta version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Mac OS X and Linux. Argument of the publisher: "These systems are known to be vectors of threats for computers running Windows in a heterogeneous network shared."

ESET believes that until now the threats focused on the vulnerabilities of operating systems. New threats are now tackling the flaws present in the cross-platform applications. A flaw in them may help identify the operating system and thus propagate the malware appropriate including Mac OS X or Linux.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Mac and ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux are designed to detect threats designed for multiple platforms. The software uses heuristic technology advanced analysis against emerging threats and generic signatures for reliable detection of mutations of known threats.
